NBA veteran Lou Williams was recently seen in an Atlanta stripclub when he should have been in the “NBA Bubble” quarantine zone. The professional basketball player is now forced to be in 10-day quarantine, which means he is going to miss at least his team’s first game. His case is still under investigation by the NBA and more severe punishments may follow. More details can be found below!
What is the NBA Bubble?
Because of the Corona virus, the NBA had to suspend the 2020 basketball season after players started testing positive for the virus. In order to continue the NBA season, 22 teams were invited to the Walt Disney World Resort near Orlando, Florida to compete in eight matches. All of the players are in isolation and there are strict restrictions as to what the players can do while in quarantine. The NBA has activated a temporary hotline where people can anonymously report players who are seen out of quarantine.
Why did Lou Williams leave the quarantine?
Lou Williams was actually allowed to leave the quarantine area by the NBA. The player left to attend his grandfather’s funeral in Atlanta, as long as he doesn’t do any detours. However, he was seen in an Instagram picture with rapper Jack Harlow in the Magic City stripclub in Atlanta. The picture was quickly deleted and the rapper said that it was actually an older picture of the two. What gave the lie away was the fact that Lou Williams was wearing a mask that was issued to him by the NBA not long ago.
The basketball player confessed shortly afterwards, claiming that he only stopped for some food from the stripclub. According to him, he couldn’t resist leaving without first picking up chicken wings that were specifically named after him. In fact, the Magic City stripclub has an item on their menu named after the player, “Louwill Lemon Pepper BBQ”.
The problem is that he wasn’t socially distancing from Jack Harlow, who wasn’t in the stripclub just for some chicken wings. Additionally, Lou Williams could have sent someone else in to pick up the package or he could have even asked for curbside pickup, which is an option at the Magic City stripclub.
Why were Lou Williams’ actions dangerous?
Although we understand that quarantine is hard and that we aren’t able to do many things we would like to, but what Lou Williams did was irresponsible and quite selfish. This little detour could have cost the NBA and all the players multiple millions of dollars. Additionally, if this was kept secret and Lou Williams actually got infected with COVID-19, he could have infected his whole team, or worse, the whole NBA. This could have jeopardized the NBA Bubble project, taking away the joy of watching the season from fans and endangering the health of hundreds of players.
What’s the current Corona virus situation in Vienna?
Although the Corona virus is a threat in Wien, just like everywhere else in the world, the situation is much better here when compared to the United States of America.
Stripclubs, brothels, laufhauses and escort agencies have been allowed to start working again since the 1st of July and we are not sensing any considerable consequences as a result of the virus in the city. The only problem that the Vienna sex scene is currently facing is the fact that the women who want to start working again have to be tested.
However, there are only a limited amount of tests that can be done on any given day, but there are an overwhelming number of women who wish to work. As a result of this, the waiting time for these tests is very long and some women even have to wait a couple of months to receive them. Unfortunately, because of this many ladies who worked in the sex scene in Wien need to turn to illegal prostitution.
The Corona virus has introduced numerous changes to our everyday lives, and unfortunately we have to live with this for the time being. There is a good reason why NBA players need to be in quarantine and what Lou Williams did wasn’t very professional. Considering he is a veteran with 15 years of experience in the NBA, he should have known better. Currently, we still do not know the extent of the punishment that he will receive, but we don’t think it will only be the 10-day quarantine.
